PEAKS AND VALLEYS

This group project delved into understanding the world of pathways and how objects navigate them. Five tiles were designed and arranged repeatedly to create a continuous path through which any fluid material, such as sand or water, can flow. In the initial design phase, we used Grasshopper and Rhino, which allowed us to experiment with different shapes and configurations, ensuring the path functioned flawlessly. The fabrication phase involved 3D printing to create positive moulds of each tile. The moulds were then used to create the negative moulds using plaster, and finally, the positives were made again using slip-casting techniques.
