INTERCONNECTED VOIDS
The project focusses on creating a connected social learning centre to gather people on the site and persuade them to interact and connect in various open spaces. The location is set in San Francisco’s Dog Patch neighbourhood, where the focus was on building a new Mediatheque in the burgeoning Pier 70 complex.
The two main design concept for this project are void and light. The void spaces aim to be primary gathering spaces for people to assemble and socialize. Light creates feelings of openness and harmony through the parametric curtain wall facade, which wraps itself around the entire structure.
